Sixstring2k Posted January 17 Report Posted January 17 I remember a post I think it was in this forum about portable oxygen or an oxygen concentrator, in the post I remember someone was being giving a hard time because in order to purchase an oxygen concentrator he needed a prescription for some reason. anyway I saw this video review on you tube for an oxygen concentrator and decided to post here in hopes that the person perhaps finds it or helps others with similar question, the company who sell this doesn’t require prescription if the you have a pilots license.
wombat Posted January 17 Report Posted January 17 You can also buy used ones. Sometimes old folks have oxygen concentrators and then pass away and their heirs will sell them. There are also compressors so you can fill bottles to take with you. Here is an example of one for sale: https://www.oxygenplusmedical.com/products/reconditioned-invacare-homefill-ii-oxygen-tank-filling-system-with-concentrator (Sorry distant future users, this link will probably break in a year or two) I have a concentrator and compressor and refill my own portable bottles.
Ragsf15e Posted January 17 Report Posted January 17 I bought an oxygen concentrator a couple years back and it was pretty simple. They did ask for a copy of my pilots license.
Pinecone Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 Several suppliers will sell one to you with a copy of your pilot certificate. I bought mine directly from Main Clinic supply this way.
Hector Posted January 24 Report Posted January 24 I bought an Inogen 3 from Craigslist in my town for $600. Works great. Previous owner passed away. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
