Brand new post here....Hey guys, thanks to your forum I was able to avoid the mistake of flying over to look at this plane, and perhaps even purchase it. I began to get suspicions when I began inquiring more about Jerry from Jerry, and he said he had a salvage business. Then the N number showed up on flight aware and some other sources as a C90 and for some reason a citation as well. Old numbers of course. So I dug deeper in the Internet and your wonderful forum came up, with a phone number that one of your members posted. Being aggressive, I called it, and a wonderful gent from Vancouver (lucky man) returned my call and proceeded to fill me in on this plane. I could not believe it when I found out the link that shows the plan in multiple pieces with mud all over it from the Uboat treatment.

I had asked Jerry if it had any previous damage, and he told me that it had a small place on the wing they found when they painted it. There was no mention of the plane in the state it was in on the salvage site, so you can only imagine how my mouth dropped open when I saw this. Then I thought..... that bastard.  So I emailed him as he had responded to me about this plane from  a previous question, and I asked "Is this the Uboat plane"? Was this a flood plane? He only responded "Thanks for the inquiry, it is sold."

It is my opinion that this guys is obviously a liar. I'll be straight up blunt about how I feel about it if all the facts that I believe I know are correct. Like anyone else, I like a good deal, and this seemed really almost too good. As mama said if it seems too good....and you also know the one about a fool and his money and how they soon are parted! This guy needs to be reported. Is there a source for this? From what I gather, this is not new behavior. How could those instruments/electronics even work after that soaking?

Thank to Gary for all his help. If the Mooney community is made of folks like him, it must be awesome. I find this to be the case for the most part with an enthusiast community I am a member of-the FCA. Enthusiast are committed for the good of the community, and it was proven in this instance.
