How does it mitigate insurance rates? Have the insurance companies agreed to provide discounts on their rates based on this training?

That’s exactly what we are working towards. As carriers realize their risk exposure is reduced with formalized structured FITS based training, we anticipate a few quality underwriters will recognize that not all Mooney pilots fit in a high risk profile. Data from wings program effectively back this up and with FAA endorsement it aids underwriting making concessions for competency. Stay tuned and trained!

Substantial cost savings on insurance should be a pilot’s top priority! That means someone besides yourself thinks you’re less likely to end up in an aviation accident!

Some companies provide training discounts for completion of WINGS phases, IPCs, etc.  Some companies without these discounts are already the most competitive, even after other companies have discounted.

Asking underwriting companies for more discounts can be an uphill battle when personal use piston aircraft are/have many times been a loss leader...
