Jim Peace Posted October 28, 2022 Report Posted October 28, 2022 I have noticed over last few flights that my VSI is turning pale/white.... Is this an indicator of a potential problem down the road? Also cosmetic or not I would like to have it back to its original black and white crisp color.... Any advice on where to send it? I may do the altimeter as well.....I have G5's but just want it all looking good... also does anyone have any idea what part number/manufacturer VSI I have?
N201MKTurbo Posted October 28, 2022 Report Posted October 28, 2022 The VSI just needs the glass cleaned. If you want to do it yourself, which is strictly prohibited. They are very sensitive to the quality of the glass seal. I would just call around to instrument shops and ask if any are willing to clean the glass. 1
