jlunseth Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Someone brought up cam spalling, and at the MAPA PPP in Denver they had a speaker from, I believe it was "Firewall Forward." One of the issues is apparently that there is no oil fed directly to the cam lobes, they just get lubricated by splashing from the crankcase. So they came up with a hollow cam shaft that does that, feeds oil to the cam lobes. I seem to remember it is for the Lyc's, at any rate it is not for my engine which is a Cont. so I did not pay much attention. I believe they have a website if anyone is interested. I did not find the website, but found an AvWeb reference to it. http://www.avweb.com/whatsnew/06-11.html Quote
