jetdriven Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 Sweet looking J. One thing, your T/C shows a left turn and the attitude indicator shows a hard right turn. Which one wins? Quote
aaronk25 Posted September 27, 2012 Author Report Posted September 27, 2012 Take another quick look at it again....I'm seeing both the T/C and Attitude indicator showing a left bank...... I'm pretty excited about the plane now, had a new cam installed during the propstrike inspection and with 1,300hours on the engine and a new to me airplane its a good feeling to know it was all inspected. With LOP operation and the keeping the heads under 380 degrees, propper preheat and flying the 350hours a year I'm certain this is the bird to go well past TBO with oil filter cutting/ inspections and oil analysis of course. TKS and a turbo would be nice, so I doubt I'll have it much more than 2 years before a Bravo lures me in... Quote
Joe Zuffoletto Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 Years ago I made the same mistake in my 1998 M20K Encore, operating the gear switch instead of the flaps switch on rollout. Fortunately, the squat switch saved me and the gear didn't retract. I noticed my error immediately and flipped the gear switch back down without incident. Whew! Quote
FloridaMan Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 I think I saw your plane at Willmar when I purchased my F back in May and remember hearing the story that a gear up landing with the gear transitioning was about the worst time to have it happen. Quote
