You and Kruger must be talking of airlines. My tires come empty and unmounted, with the [separately ordered and paid] tubes folded up in a bag. I supply the baby powder to make them go together nicely, AFTER removing the wheel from the plane, taking out the valve stem to deflate the tire, separating the wheel halves and removing the old stuff . . . . .

Who knows, for the right money, they might do one for you.

I don't know what the deal is here in north Chandler, but there are a bunch of huge warehouses that cater to the airlines for spares, Including the new Turbo Resources just down the street, It is about a quarter mile long and 4 stories high!

https://www.turboresources.com/

If you go to their website, in the aerial view of the place, I work just off the right of the image.

Just a note I didn't see expressed, inĀ  the above.Ā  When landing with flaps, lift remainsĀ a factor until the flaps are raised.Ā  WithoutĀ the weight on the tires, they are just more likely to lock up.Ā  So hitting the brakes with flaps down is more likely to cause a flat spot.Ā  Ā Once on the ground, if you have the time/runway, raise flaps ASAP, then brake.Ā  Ā You need as much weight on the tire as possible to keep them on the ground andĀ rolling, not sliding.Ā  Saw it all the time when I was instructing.Ā  (in the old days).

Or just land slow enough that you don't need brakes.

The tire comes pre-assembled with the bearing greased....We slide off and slide on.....We check the pressure....And she is good to go!

Actually, I am not sure they have tubes......I'll have to ask the tire shop.....

I'm pretty sure they don't have tubes.Ā  Ā  The fusible plugs and relief valves wouldn't work if they did.
