kris_adams Posted September 23, 2020 Report Posted September 23, 2020 (edited) I ran across this over on BT and had to share it. Some really great video and mountain scenery (just not a mooney) of a Silver Eagle. Quite impressive if it matches your requirements (super short field, jetA, etc) and your budget... Greg Ellis Posted September 23, 2020 Report Posted September 23, 2020 So, The Silver Eagle video was from 2018. This is a video from 2016 of a PIlatus being pulled out of the same hangar and taking off from the same airfield albeit with a better mowed runway. 2 Quote
aviatoreb Posted September 23, 2020 Report Posted September 23, 2020 Wow! I am not sure if to say more wow to the airplanes or the airport and its difficult approaches, upsloping runway, and unforgiving no possibility of go around, or the pilots who fly that stuff. But wow. Quote
bradp Posted September 23, 2020 Report Posted September 23, 2020 Look at the approach with the wires. It’s something even more special-er. 4 Quote
Eight8Victor Posted September 24, 2020 Report Posted September 24, 2020 Wow, is certainly an appropriate response to this video. Quote
carusoam Posted September 24, 2020 Report Posted September 24, 2020 I agree with the sentiment... Wow! What it takes to have your equipment always working 100%... What it takes to have your skills always working 100%... Winter ops must be interesting too... It would be nice to have a beta lever on the Mooney prop... 450shp in the big Cessna... it was only climbing out at 2kfpm..? I was looking for current/Amp gauge for the start-up sequence... That has got to be large... See if Tom wants to visit Europe... @Yooper Rocketman bring the turbine... Invite @Jerry 5TJ for additional Turbine insight... Best regards, -a- Quote
thinwing Posted September 28, 2020 Report Posted September 28, 2020 it was the taxi to the ramp with that narrow width, sheer drop off that got my attention Quote
cujet Posted September 28, 2020 Report Posted September 28, 2020 I'll take the Pilatus, it's actually designed for such operation. We operate a PC-12 NG, it's an amazing plane. Quote
