Eduleo
Beat my speed record today, in level flight, on a PALS mission from Cleveland to Williamsburg, VA. Level at 9000, sipping 9 gph doing 155 true, ground speed was between 220 and 232. And it was smooth too!

Eduleo
Ha, thanks! Well, I didn't take a picture of 100 kts groundspeed going up to Cleveland from Hagerstown earlier in the day. E.

skydvrboy
It looks like you got into some mountain wave action as you crossed into Virginia. Flight aware shows you hit 237 at one point. Nicely done!

INA201
Nice! Does the best glide ring extend out more based on speed or is it based on just altitude?

In aircraft file in FF I see two scalars, Vbg & L/D ratio (e.g. 90kts & 1:10), I don't think we have whole polar/power curve or it accounts for minimal height gains while you slow down to Vbg, so I doubt there is any adjustment to your glide performance from ASI changes, but the ring does change against terrain height and against wind but assumes you fly at Vbg Edited January 10, 2020 by Ibra
