Joe Afonso Posted March 31, 2019 Report Posted March 31, 2019 Hi All, going thru annual on my 1962 M20C revealed loose bushings on nose wheel assembly, I have removed it and am looking for a source that can rebuild it, anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance

Andy95W Posted April 1, 2019 Report Posted April 1, 2019 +2 for LASAR. They also have PMAed oversized bushings.
cliffy Posted April 1, 2019 Report Posted April 1, 2019 A SB says to check the torque on the big steering bolt every 100 hrs, Seems to reduce wear on the big bushing. 1
SheryLoewen Posted April 2, 2019 Report Posted April 2, 2019 Contact LASAR Parts --they do this all the time.
MARZ Posted April 2, 2019 Report Posted April 2, 2019 Bushing and reamer from Lasar - IIRC less than .5 amu all in
Prior owner Posted April 2, 2019 Report Posted April 2, 2019 Once the bushings are replaced, what’s the torque spec on the bolts? Only the steering bolt has a spec, as far as I can see....?

Andy95W Posted April 2, 2019 Report Posted April 2, 2019 LASAR has oversized bushings for all the pivot points on the Mooney landing gear, not just the big steering bushing. And they are PMA'ed. Everyone here should thank Paul Loewen for the legacy he has left us. 1
