  1. Check the Steering horn at he top of the nose gear with the nose off the ground most likely the problem is wear there, Paul Loewen
  2. The rotor disc maybe warped ( cupped) put a straight edge across it to check. That would cause the caliper to spring back. Paul Loewen
  3. Using a skin from another wing is not a option. A new skin from Mooney would be less than $500 Plus shipping. (lucky it did not involve the fuel tank) Replacing the skin would be the best repair. It's a matter of drilling out a lot of rivets and riveting. Paul Loewen
  4. Engine upgrade LASAR does have an STC to put a 200 hp engine in a M20C. $30,000 would be an estimate to have this done. But Why??
  5. Speed increase speeds advertised by LASAR are tested certified and true. The simple cowl closure yields the same speed benefits as a complete cowl conversion. Paul
  6. Its necessary to keep the baffle seal tight to keep high pressure on he top of the cylinders. Side note: The LASAR cowl closure does give speed increase 5 MPH in cruise and much more in decent. Usually it doesn't affect cooling. Completely removing the entire cowl gives complete access. Paul
  7. I can tell you--- airflow thru the oil cooler flows forward. Also relocating the cooler (LASAR) with doghouse baffles does not work (TRIED) Paul Loewen
  8. LASAR Parts had some New Surplus Elect tachs
  9. Just reseal the edge. There are no rivets there because it's the fuel tank below.

  15. Try it with the new donuts removed to see what the problem is. Paul Loewen
  16. The Rudder Play is in the Nose gear steering mechanism on top of the nose gear and can be exchanged at LASAR parts. The steering on landing is addressed in Service bulletin M20-202. Wear in the nose gear components is very common and can be restored.
