Anyone have the rough dimensions of the baggage compartment of a medium body Mooney and as an added bonus where the D rings are on the floor (apparently from the other thread they are listed in WB so i might be able to back calculate this...).

Have some Nylon webbing, sewing machine and infant who doesn’t want me to sleep at night.  Planning to make a prototype cargo net for the bag compartment.  Unfortunately won’t be able to get to the Mooney tonight.

Bruce’s baggage side on the pilot’s side has a slide bow in it to compensate for wires run from the avionics bay.

You’re the best @Marauder   That’s exactly what I was looking for.  I’ll see how this one goes and I’ll be happy to do some @cost plus a suggested donation to Mooney Ambasadors, Safety foundation or the Mooneyspace.

oh my original 1975 Mooney yucky interior carpet.   ick

I’m working on it! Need to find some time to either have a local shop make it or have SCS do it.

And oh, if you are referring the brown stuff you see, that is Bruce Jaeger’s handiwork. Those are new side panel he covered with approved material. Doesn’t have the rug covering them anymore. It is now a cloth.

Here’s my first draft of a homemade cargo net for the baggage compartment.

I made it so will cover a load to the roof or to the top of the seats.  It’s not yet adjustable.  The floor locations of the D rings somewhat impair that.

I’ll  probably give it a go and see how I like it / try v 2.0 when I have some free time.
