DrBill Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 I finally updated my 430w with latest terrain/obstacle data. A: had to purchase the Garmin datacard programmer and the updates. B got the programmer and had to download FlyGarmin program to interface with their web app to program the cards but the card was not found by FlyGarmin and sent email to support. C: Support says: The USB drivers for your data card programmer can be downloaded from the link below:http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=010-10579-00 D: installed the drivers and FlightPlan Migrator (drivers come with this install). and restarted the process from the web. E: VOILA card was programmed with my data for update, F: tomorrow I take to the plane and update the unit. Bill 1 Quote
Zwaustin Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 Nice, when I went to do that last I realized I had an older card so I had to order not only the data programmer but a larger taws card.... was pricey but worth it. Quote
