Isn't this technically a D model converted?

How'd you come up with that question from Alan's ad?  FAA registry shows serial number as 2397, which is a 1963 C model...

D Model serial numbers were 100-260.  AFAIK, the serial number didn't change if/when it was converted to retracts.

Cheers,

Brian

And I am ready to put my $1 bid in. emoji3.png

I'm betting he can get pretty far into that annual in 12 days.  That $16,500 pricetag will be a lot better bargain when it's airworthy.:D

Alan, please let the new owner know about MS. I think that is the closest 'living' relative to my N6744U. I'm glad to hear this airframe will still be saved.

My old 63C is closer, yours= 4/26/63.  My old one 6167u= 5/8/63 and 6670U= 3/1/63.  6761U is live and well in Claremore, OK
