teacup_33q Posted September 11, 2016 Report Posted September 11, 2016 Hello, I am looking for a Mooney instructor in the KBLI (PNW) area for Mooney transition training and then CFI initial training. All recommendations welcomed! Quote
carusoam Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 Welcome aboard Teacup. Standby for some recommendations... It has been a pretty nice day. Lots of flying going on this weekend... Best regards, -a- Quote
StevenL757 Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 Albeit he is in the Bay Area of CA, and not sure how far his knowledge of instructors extends into the NW, Mr. Kaye ("donkaye" on this board) may be able to give a steer in the right direction. I've never worked with him personally, but he's a MCFI, and based on his previous posts offering similar guidance, you'd be wise to consider him for this type of info (unless he says otherwise). :-) Regards, Steve Quote
teacup_33q Posted September 12, 2016 Author Report Posted September 12, 2016 Thanks Steve Yes I have his number, I might give him a call to see if he knows anybody up north. 1 Quote
Diesel 10 Posted September 14, 2016 Report Posted September 14, 2016 Hi Teacup - Galvin Flying at KBFI in Seattle has two M20Js in the rental fleet that fly a lot. Many of the CFIs there are very experienced in the Mooneys. That's where I did most of my transition training. Quote
johncuyle Posted September 16, 2016 Report Posted September 16, 2016 I also did transition training at Galvin. Definitely recommend them, if you can make it down to KBFI for a day or two. Quote
