  1. UPDATE: I was able to find an instructor to meet me at the airport where it was hangared. He trained me, signed my endorsement, and I got to fly it home. He taught me a lot, but wasn't very familiar with Mooneys. I've got a few leads on a Mooney specialists in my area, for some more detailed training. I appreciate the help. I've just bought a 1963 M20D. Proud to be part of the Mooney family. I am looking for an instructor to help me get my complex endorsement. I do have my PPL, and about 60 hours, but they are all in 172s. The plane has been checked out by a mechanic and is ready to fly. Unfortunately, it is in Mt. Vernon IL (KMVN) and my home airport is Nashville (KJWN). My best two options seem to be: A. Find a Nashville instructor, travel to Mt. Vernon somehow, bring the plane home, and have the lessons as both of our schedules allow. Or B. Find a Mt. Vernon instructor, do a four day weekend crash course, and hope that is enough to earn the endorsement. If you are not an instructor, and know someone, any leads would be appreciated. Thank you.
  2. Hi, I’m looking for a cfi to train me for my ppl, in my mooney m20E. I live in St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands. The couple cfi’s here are frankly a little scared of the mooney! I actually had to show one how to fly it! That’s scary! Lol. But seriously, I’m 53, have prior experience 30 years ago only light sport. and have flown my bird about 20 or so hours total. Flew it here from Florida in April as well. At the rate I’m going now it’ll probably take me 1to 2 years to get through this! I want to hit it like a full time job and knock it out in a few weeks. I think that’s possible. Just need the right trainer. I own a home here, a mile from the airport, have a guest room, I would offer, airfare, room and board plus your hourly rate and a car to drive when not training. The perfect candidate would be single, or at least be willing to be away from home for the time, easygoing type. But serious while training. I would be taking time off work for this so we would work out a schedule so you would have free time to explore the island and have personal time as well. Or we can just grind on it and get it done, I’m flexible and hope you would be as well. If interested get in touch. Phone is best for me and fastest. 252-671-1250. Name is Adam.
  3. Hello, I am looking for a Mooney instructor in the KBLI (PNW) area for Mooney transition training and then CFI initial training. All recommendations welcomed!
  4. Hello everyone, I'm on short final to purchase a 252 TSE and the insurance mob wants me to get 10 hrs instruction before they'll cut me loose. I've scoured the forums and have had no luck finding anyone. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Needless to say, I'm more than a little excited to having one of these fabulous planes. ~ David
  5. Hey all - I am looking for an instructor with a good deal Mooney time for my upcoming BFR and to start my commercial training. We would be flying my J out of Tampa Executive (VDF) and I am a PP, instrument, almost 1000 TT and about 750 in my Mooney. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Sanjeev snjprs@cox.net
