What on earth does my Anus need checking for in order to fly? There have been a ton of Third Class Medicals performed... somehow they got by without checking the Anus. But now, thanks to the AOPA... 2. What on earth did Mark Baker do to earn $780K in 2014? Is saying publicly that he is advocating for Pilots and then "negotiating" laws that require Private Pilots to get their Anus checked really worth all that? Couldn't even half that money been better spent furthering aviation? Or hey... I know, this is just crazy talk... reducing our annual "membership" fee? https://www.aopa.org/-/media/files/aopa/home/about-aopa/governance/aopa-governance-page/2014foundationform990.pdf?la=en (Scroll down to Page 11) I'm really just trying to make the FAQ page more useful. Tell the good doctor you'll install one of Jose's relief tubes, if he'll forgo the digital exam. Clarence Quote

carusoam Posted October 12, 2016 Report Posted October 12, 2016 The SI protocol seems to live on... Grumble... Sent my details to the FAA today. Grumble... Last time, my details got lost in the U.S. mail. Grumble... I hope this works as well as the last time. Grumble, Grumble, Grumble... -a- 1 Quote
Drew_Wagner Posted October 12, 2016 Report Posted October 12, 2016 Let me know if you get in touch with him. I tried this summer and got a disconnected number. Ended up at Dr. Crow in Vestavia HIlls. Dr. Foshee is my wife's grandfather. Just stayed with him this past weekend and flew into Clanton at 02A. (205) 928-1835. He does exams out of his house next to the airport where he has an office so not exactly "shade tree", but it is a nice spot to fly and convenient for pilots. He built two airplanes, owned a couple of Moonies, flew in the Air Force, and taught me how to fly. Tell him Drew sent you. He is a true pilots AME. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 Quote

Not sure I would go to him for open heart surgery but he is just what the Dr. ordered for airman exams. Last time I was there, we talked for about an hour about planes and flying. 1 Quote

He will pick you up with his golf cart if you let him know you are coming. I kind of do remember a nice shade tree outside?! Quote

He's got a couple acres there by the airport with plenty of shade. Golf cart valet at no charge.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
