His program title is “It’s all about De-Tail”. Come enjoy a fun, interactive but educational talk learning about what else? Fast airplanes! Did Al Mooney act alone? Did Mooney actually make a fully composite airplane in the late 1940s? Did Mooney design a 300 knot turboprop airplane that went into production? What is Mooney doing in southern California? And the ever-asked question, “Why does Mooney put their tails on backwards?” Ideas that worked and those that didn't. The more we learn the safer we can be. 1 Quote

N201MKTurbo Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 I'm actually heading out to San Diego tomorrow for OTL, so two weeks in a row is not going to work... Quote
Bennett Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 Do you think Ron would allow a video of his presentation? I've met him a few times, and he is a very interesting and knowledgeable guy. I'm sure that those who attend will learn quite a lot, and it would be great if more of us could share in his presentation. 2 Quote
steingar Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 First time in many years I've actually missed living in San Diego. That's OK, if I lived in San Diego I wouldn't be a pilot. Actually, I'd probably be dead from commuting on my motorcycle. Quote
dooleypster Posted July 8, 2016 Report Posted July 8, 2016 I very much wish there would be an east coast availability of that presentation. 1 Quote

You and the rest of Phoenix:) The fun part about flying over is you get to see all your neighbors backed up in their cars at the Pine Valley border check point on I-8. Are you on a team for OTL or just spectating? Quote
