DXB Posted June 29, 2016 Report Posted June 29, 2016 If arguing about fuel sender technology full time is losing its appeal, this can provide 5 minutes of amusing diversion: http://www.motortrend.com/news/airplane-engine-1939-plymouth-pickup-radically-radial/ 4 Quote

Marcopolo Posted June 29, 2016 Report Posted June 29, 2016 Absolutely one of the best conglomerations I've ever seen. As a Car / Airplane nut, I'm extremely impressed with what they've done, amazing! I want the seats in my Mooney! Quote
DaV8or Posted June 29, 2016 Report Posted June 29, 2016 That is an amazing work of art and ingenuity. My only complaint with the Motor Trend article is they didn't have a video of it actually driving on the street. Quote
DaV8or Posted June 29, 2016 Report Posted June 29, 2016 Here's a couple videos I found of it driving- Quote
DaV8or Posted June 29, 2016 Report Posted June 29, 2016 Here's one that claims to have been built in 30 days for $3000. I believe the time, but where do you get a working Continental O-470 for under $3000??? 1 Quote

flyboy0681 Posted June 30, 2016 Report Posted June 30, 2016 Back in 1987 I was working in Oakland, California, and under my office window they were filming the movie "Tucker". On display were about a half dozen real ones and a dozen fake ones (shells only), and when they started them up - look out. The only engine Preston Tucker could find to use in his car were helicopter engines (same used in Bell 47), and boy were they loud for a car. Quote
