LevelWing Posted February 29, 2016 Report Posted February 29, 2016 I'm looking for Mooney Service and Maintenance Manual #106, dated October of 1983 (or newer). According to Mooney's website (http://www.mooney.com/en/pdf/SM_IPC_Pubs_Status.pdf) the manual was revised. According to this picture: my serial number is on there. I'm trying to balance my control surfaces and I believe this manual will help. The rudder and elevators do not balance according to the C model manual that I have but according to this thread: They should balance in accordance with J model specs. If anyone can help, I'm looking for the tail surface balancing pages out of that manual to give to my mechanic (we have a few manuals between us, but not this one). I appreciate any help. Quote
Oscar Avalle Posted February 29, 2016 Report Posted February 29, 2016 If you find it, please let me know. I have the older version myself. Quote

carusoam Posted March 1, 2016 Report Posted March 1, 2016 That is an interesting resource, 7186V... http://www.eflightmanuals.com/ITEM_EFM/CAT_EFM.asp?cID=3081 $18 for an electronic O POH. Best regards, -a- Quote
Hank Posted March 1, 2016 Report Posted March 1, 2016 Oscar, mine is 700075. I'd email the Maint Manual, but it's too big. Has anyone checked the Download section here? Quote
LevelWing Posted March 1, 2016 Author Report Posted March 1, 2016 Thanks to everyone who replied on here and in PM's. It's been very helpful. Hopefully we can get these balanced soon! Quote
cloud116 Posted March 3, 2016 Report Posted March 3, 2016 I can't tell if you got what you needed or not. If not, PM me and I will PDF you the few pages from the manual you need. Quote
LevelWing Posted May 1, 2016 Author Report Posted May 1, 2016 As an update, the elevators and the rudder have been stripped but essentially come into balance stripped. The numbers are below. Adding any paint will over balance the surfaces. Does anybody have any ideas as to what can be done? Can we add weight to the control arm? Rudder: .564 pounds (limit is .57 pounds) Elevators: 1.15/1.12 pounds (limit is 1.22 pounds) I plan to email Mooney tech support as well, just curious if anybody here has any ideas. This has been an ongoing process and I appreciate everyone's help. Quote
carusoam Posted May 1, 2016 Report Posted May 1, 2016 LW consider adding some data to your avatar area. The plane you are talking about would help people to understand which control surfaces you have. If they are like mine... Best regards, -a- Quote

I re-read the OP and thought I had included that information in there, but I didn't. I have a 1968 C model. I'll update my info when I get home to include that. 1 Quote
