Click to let your friends know! 5 Great Reasons to Switch to FlyQ EFB Overall If a picture is worth a thousand words, we think these videos are worth a million. In just three minutes, they'll learn why FlyQ EFB is the #1 rated app in the App Store. 1. It's simply the best. But don't take our word for it. Comments made by fellow pilots on the App Store: "This new version of FlyQ is significantly better than the ForeFlight I used for years." "I found WingX (and ForeFlight) involve way too much tapping around to get info ... FlyQ it's quick and much more efficient" "The newest version is really sweet!" "I sent an email request on a Sunday morning and Support responded within minutes." "Without a doubt, the BEST! I've tied 'em all, but FlyQ is the best, easiest to use, most complete... " 2. FlyQ EFB works with the ADS-B receiver you have. ADS-B technology is changing very rapidly and 2020 is getting closer. We believe you should be free to choose the ADS-B system you like best not get locked into one system. That's why FlyQ EFB works with the portable ADS-B receiver you have today (Clarity, Stratus, SkyRadar, Dual, iLevil) and the certified ADS-B In/Out system (FreeFlight and NavWorx) you need to comply with the 2020 mandate. That means no switching apps later. 3. FlyQ takes fewer taps and has easier to read text When you're flying, nothing counts more than getting to crucial information quickly. FlyQ EFB was designed with what we call the "Rule of 2" which means it never takes more than two taps to get to important inflight information. Let's face it, most pilots aren't 25 and don't have the eyesight of a hawk. FlyQ EFB was designed by pilots your age who wear reading glasses and it shows! 4. FlyQ is more powerful yet less expensive. Normally, an annual VFR subscription is just $69, IFR + VFR just $119. That's an excellent price but with this Lifetime special, there is no more annual fee ever again! You get everything -- 3D synthetic vision, fuel prices, geo-referenced approach plates (IFR subscription only), geo-referenced airport diagrams, split screen, Terrain X-Ray, Wind Optimizer, plates on the map, Sectionals, IFR charts (IFR subscription only), etc. No add-ons or extras to buy. Ever. 5. FlyQ uses genuine Seattle Avionics geo-referenced plates FlyQ EFB is the only major aviation app with the genuine Seattle Avionics certified-quality plates and charts. Seattle Avionics provides the plates and charts to more than 20 different apps and devices including those from Bendix-King, Dynon, Aspen, and many more. In fact, we're the only vendor besides Jeppesen and Garmin to ever achieve the FAA DO-200A level of certification required for certified systems. * The Fine Print At these prices, we're sorry but no refund can be given for an existing subscription unless purchased within the last 14 days. No exceptions. All subscriptions offered in this promotion are for US ChartData only. In the unlikely event that the FAA begins charging per-user fees or significantly increases the fees they charge us, we'll have to pass this cost on to you in the form of a small annual fee. We guarantee that any supplemental fee will be just enough to cover new FAA charges so will surely still be far less than a normal subscription. yvesg Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Does not look like they cover Canada? We are stuck with Nav Canada here and have to pay them through Foreflight. Yves Quote
Cruiser Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Actually they do have charts for some of Canada, looks like most of Ontario and a strip along the northern USA border.  I can't tell how far.  look here: http://archive.constantcontact.com/fs145/1102176322542/archive/1120317507097.html  scroll down to the Chart Data Manager image. ryoder Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Hmm. How does it compare to Garmin Pilot? How many devices can I run it on? Quote
wishboneash Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Hopefully their lifetime subscriptions last longer than the "lifetime" subscriptions by Controlvision for Anywheremap. 1 Quote
RocketAviator Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 I have been a lifetime subscription holder of FlyQ and the Windows Predecessor by Seattle Avionics called Voyager. SA did say there may be some small charges if FAA charges for the approach data in the future but only the charges they get from FAA. They are working on approach charts for Canada & Caribbean I have flown several hundred hours with thier products but have no dog in fight. No product are perfect there are several features I wish they offered.... They have had synthetic vision for several years it is not new to SA. I wish SA features included Auto flight log to include approach, night , TO, location etc Electronic check list Self definable quick keys Winds depicted by selectable altitudes (as does SA Voyager product has) Terran per flight plan (as does SA Voyager product has) Auto reconnect to Clarity SV AHARS AHARS health status & alarm notice when comm failure ADSB traffic info & ID including tail#, GS closing rate (like my Garmin setup provides) Ability to display Reported ceilings More refined weather briefing They have fixed or added several features I had wanted & requested so I'm happy for those. One thing I can say is the traffic with the Clarity SV is far better than my $$$ Garmin GTN 750 & Garmin ADSB setup! Fly safe Quote
Piloto Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 To which lifetime FlyQ refers to? The customer, the EFB device, Seattle Avionics or which ever ends first. José Quote

Fly safe   I think it is tied to your user account, which *can* survive you, your device, your plane and hopefully, a bankruptcy court  Quote
M016576 Posted March 28, 2015 Report Posted March 28, 2015 I have the FlyQ lifetime subscription: the program is very nice. To the doubters of whether this is a good deal or not, consider this- your break even point is only 2.5 years over the other iPad apps (fore flight, pilot, wingx), and you get all the functionality... Including overlaid approach plates and synthetic vision. It's a very powerful app. I used my friends Stratus for the SV feature this week, and it's very nice... I may have to spring for one myself. I wouldn't count on Seattle avionics going out of business any time soon, either. Quote
carusoam Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 Seattle Avionics is the supplier of all the blue dots found in all the other apps...aren't they? Best regards, -a- Quote
Greg_D Posted March 31, 2015 Report Posted March 31, 2015 Seattle Avionics is the supplier of all the blue dots found in all the other apps...aren't they? Best regards, -a- Not all of them. ForeFlight does their own in-house. 1 Quote
