Acclaim Tail Section AD - Now It's My Turn

Work started on my Acclaim today to comply with the AD for the tail attach points.

 

This configuration will make for long takeoff rolls but incredible stability in pitch:

Carefully drilling out the rivets so we only have to touch up instead of repaint:

 

 

Painful to see, but should be finished by the end of this week.

That disconnected tail section just gave me the shivers. For a moment I thought it reflected a Piper in turbulence.

 

Keep us informed and would recc. you consider an increase in all credit card limits.
