Finishing up with my Accu-Trac installation in my '66 E.  I would like to take a look at the wing servos. (to check condition) Which inspection panel gains access in the wing?  I know it's NOT the two most outboard...I checked...I thought I would ask before pulling any more screws...Thanks for your reply,

Parts catalog indicates that the servo is in front of the aileron, nearest the inboard edge of the aileron.

I would suspect that it acts upon the aileron belcrank attached to the control rod that the normal aileron control comes from.

1966 parts catalog, is short on words and the drawing is relative......

Hope this gets you started in the right direction....

Absolutely!  Thanks.  Same conclusion the avionics tech came to after I had sweated through my shorts removing two outer-most inspection plates.  Gotta love Iowa humidity...I'll continue search tomorrow.

Did you find out which inspection panel it is? I have to do a repair on mine, too. Cheers Marc

The aileron servos are behind the inspection panel at the inboard end of each aileron. Memory says you will look at the front if the servo, while it mounts from behind. Hope someone has small hands . . . .

Hopefully, 11 years ago he figured out that the servos are located above the aft panel immediately outboard of where the aileron control shaft goes into the wing.;)

True, but @Marc asked the same question this morning.

It should be in this panel.

So leaks will occur in the pc system a common malady is the interior screw through the tube, not so common is the broken line. Most pc cans have long since rotted away

Thank you so much for the drawing and the pictures, this makes it a lot easier for me to check the tubes and the rest of the pc can.

Happy landings to you all

Marc
