georgeb Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 Hello All, I’m selling my 70 E with a factory J conversion on it. The J conversion was done using Mooney parts, not aftermarket. I also had the 201 windshield and all new 1/4" glass all around. Engine just had a complete top end done. FI, and mags were overhauled at the same time. She's a beautiful plane and I've always been pretty anal about maintenance so she's always ready to fly cross country or locally. More details are on the attached document. For more information or whatever, you can contact me. Thank you Jorge (george) Briones 915-241-1652 jorgebri60@gmail.com 1970 Mooney M20e 70045.pdf Quote
KSMooniac Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 Now that is a Super E! Looks great. I'm curious how you (legally) did the 10.5:1 pistons (firewall forward STC perhaps?) and what that GPS is since I'm completely unfamiliar. Quote
georgeb Posted June 3, 2014 Author Report Posted June 3, 2014 I'd have to check on what my AP did for the pistons, but the GPS is here: http://www.aviationsafety.com/flight_cheetahfl650.html The software is truflight, the unit is a helm 650. Not IFR but excellent "Situational Awareness". Until the Helm 650 became available, I was using one of their handheld units on a mount. Quote
KSMooniac Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 Thanks for the info... I had heard of them but never looked closely and didn't realize they had a quasi-panel mount hardware option. I thought folks were using that software on Win tablets or laptops years ago. Guess they've evolved a bit! Quote
scottfromiowa Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 Great plane. Won't be on the market long. Good luck with your sale. Quote

No problem. yeah, They've come a long way....the way the 650 fits in the space a 530 does and the brightness it has makes it a very nice unit now. Heat has not been a problem either. Great unit. georgeb Posted June 5, 2014 Author Report Posted June 5, 2014 Wow. Nice aircraft! Thank you....Wanna Buy it Quote
MB65E Posted June 5, 2014 Report Posted June 5, 2014 Looks nice! 10.5:1!! I was wondering about pistons too? Kenny tunnel makes really nice ones, but there not certified. What timing are you running? Bet it screams! Probably trues out at 170kts or so? -Matt Quote
