And more importantly, who installed yours? Peter - if you are correct in assuming these are all related to installation errors, I want to go to the installer who did your installation to check mine. That's not a hard request is it?

Absolutely. I even went to a second shop and about to embark on my third shop. Hell, I'll even pay for the guy to come out of retirement to look over my installation. Sure he/she could use some retirement funds now that the market is down a bit.

I can tell you that my panel has functioned as advertised since day one, and continue to beautifully!

Thanks Tom. Peter is a big Garmin fan and probably a holder of a bunch of their stock. Which he probably bought on September 28th, 2007 when it peaked at $122.78.

I like Garmin products as well. Just want mine to work right. Protecting their brand is one thing, not being a willing participant to help another Mooney owner is not what this site was founded on.

I have always gone to great lengths to be open and share whatever aviation knowledge I have collected in my 28 year flying career.

Once in a while people of differing opinions disagree however. That doesn't bother me but I know it bothers some!
