Guys I have been flying with an Ipad air and av80or ace as backups and have decided to drop the av80or and use the mini on the yoke and keep the air on my knee or in its case as a backup. What mount have you all liked for the mini on the yoke looked at Sportys and pilotmall and there are lots of choices...any ideas would be useful, I'm just hoping the mini won't be to small for my old eyes which have been accustomed to the larger iPad..thanx  Dan

Dan - I have used the one rahill mentions and the RAM X-grip, both with yoke mounts. I switched over to the X-grip when I installed a iPort charging cover on my Mini.

If you want to try the one rahill mentions or the X-grip, let me know. I have both on yoke mounts. http://www.gpscity.com/ram-mount-universal-x-grip-ii-tablet-cradle-with-b-ball-ram-hol-un8bu.html

The RAM mount is great for the iPad mini.  Sold lots of places, here's one example:

Mounting the mini on the yoke moves it close enough that the relative size is comparable to a full size iPad on your lap.

 Dan,

This is the one I use.

I also got a right angle lightning cable (power) for the mini here:

I used the X-Grip when I first got the mount but it rotated too much for my liking. I posted pictures of the X-Grip when I first got it. I think you can search for a post by me on "ipad mini".

Ram mount works great. I clamp the ram mount on  the "yoke pole" in my 201 j with the mini between the yoke handles and it fits and works greet. Be sure to test while sitting in the pilots seat with the seat properly adjusted to rule out any restrictions to the flight controls.
