Piloto Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Back in the 80s many Mooneys came out with side window curtains. They made the plane looks stylish and classy, but they were a little bit impractical. I found these ones at Wallmart and tried them on my M20J. My wife liked them and decided to install them on all four windows. They just pull down to the desired height to just block the sun. To roll them back just push a bottom at the end of the rod and they will quickly roll up. Found them very useful for when using your cell phone when sunlight is on your side. They come with suction cups for quick mounting but like most after sometime they fall off. I attached them permanently to the window frame using the same screws that holds the plastic side panels. They come with plastic C clamp to hold on the edge of a car window. You can trim and drill these clamps to fit into the window frame and snap in the rod. You can do all four in an afternoon. Your passengers will appreciate them, just like the ones on the airlines. Here in Florida most trips are north-south so most of the time you get annoying sunlight that keeps passengers from getting a good nap. Mi wife used a blanket over her head to keep the sunlight away. You can get them at Wallmart and other stores for $10 a pair. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Dream-Baby-Adjustable-Car-Sun-Shade-2-Pack/9856672 José Quote
