  1. So forgive the question, but is a yaw damper required and how much benefit would it provide? I currently have an S-TEC 30 w/ Alt hold.
  2. Looks like the original poster knew something... https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/682215/pn/G3X-TCERT-03#specs
  3. Thanks for the idea. I LOVE the 310HP...as many have stated before.
  4. Condition: As removed at engine overhaul time 1 A&P found a very small nick and suggested repair 1 bought a refurbished one and am selling this Specs: Lycoming IO360 A3B6D Mooney Aircraft M20J / M201 $150 + shipping
  5. Buy a propeller with barely 700 hours for less than the cost of an overhaul! Includes propeller, hub, and spinner. Removed to install an STC to increase HP. Overhauled 2011 at 615 hours. Passed annual inspection in 2015 at 703 hours. Was removed about 1 month later. Complete logbooks. I will help arrange shipping (buyer pays shipping). Asking $2,250 or best offer.
  6. Where is the best place to try to sell it? Barnstormers? eBay? Here?
  7. Hi, I'm thinking of selling the following out of my 2001 Eagle2: -- Mortiz guages, both electronic and analog boxes -- fuel sending units for both left and right tanks -- JPI EDM-700 w fuel flow, fits the smaller hole -- McCaulley 3 blade Ovation prop, 720 total, less than 50 since overhaul. Can anyone help me figure it out what these items are worth and where the best place to sell them would be? I recently upgraded to a Screaming Eagle. All of the above was replaced as part of the upgrade and was working well when removed. Thanks!
  8. In the end, I went with Aero Title. Every time I had a question, I received an immediate answer. Service couldn't have been better.
  9. Has anybody ever used Aero Title? http://aerotitle.com/contact/ Any other title companies people would recommend?
  10. If the plane is certified to fly above 18,000 feet, does that mean that 1090 ES is required or if I'm willing to stay below 18,000 is a 978 UAT enough to satisfy the mandate?
  11. Thank you to everyone for your comments. They are very helpful. Here's my thought process on the screaming eagle vs. the J or the R. I have a J now, and love it. I've gladly spent the money to upgrade the avionics, paint, interior, and engine. My current weight requirements for typical mission is 560 pounds. That means I can have 57 gal fuel. Most of the time I can make it non-stop. Sometimes I need to stop due to headwinds and/or IFR reserves. The complication is my family is growing so this problem only gets worse. Most R models leave me in the same situation. However, it seems that the useful load in a Screaming Eagle is different--75 gal fuel and a useful load of 675 pounds or so. It sounds like I still need to adhere to the 3,200 pound landing weight, but I don't see that as an issue since my flights are always for > 2 hours. Am I missing something?
  12. Another question for the group...all the planes on the market have engines which haven't flown in 2 years or so. It seems to me that I need to discount the value of that engine and factor in the cost of an overhaul. Is that a fair assumption to make?
