Foreflight and iPad1

I got a deal from my cell phone provider. The old ipad mini with cell service for $399 plus ten bucks a month for service. I can get weather and updates as long as I have a cell signal.

This is from Foreflight when I asked if I could get the terminal procedures in my iPad1:

"Yes, if you first update your iPad to iOS 5.1.1. You'll need to plug your iPad into a computer running iTunes, then update the iPad from within iTunes. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4972.

Then here are instructions for updating your app to version 5.5.2:

I think I will limp the iPad1 along as long as possible and upgrade to the tablet du jour when the time comes. Perhaps by then the ADS-B weather will rival the XM weather.
