Soon to be new Seattle-area MSC

Hey everyone,

Just thought I'd let you know that there's a newer shop in the Seattle area that is working on becoming an MSC (which is awesome, cause the next closest one is Portland). It's located at Skagit RGNL Arpt. It took me a while to find the info for them, had to call through a variety of people, but I found them. Incredibly easy to work with, they go to every length to make sure they do the job right, and very honest and straight-forward. Highly recommended, for what it's worth.

Did they take over for ViaJet?  The Mooney website still lists ViaJet as an MSC in Burlington even though as far as I know they have not been there for quite some time?  Same people new name?  New people same place?  New altogether?

 

Just curious.  Would be nice since we are just down the road at S50.

I had heard a while ago that there were no new MSCs because there was no new factory training going on and the process to authorize new MSCs had been put on hold. 

 

However, due to the new infusion of funds in Kerville, maybe this has changed.  OR - as stated in Bob's post, maybe this is ViaJet with a new name, but with the original MSC certification and it's being brough back.

 

That's the more probably explanation, however, to hear that a system is back in place for new MSC certification is HUGE if it is indeed not ViaJet.

 

Still - glad you'll have an MSC in the seattle area.

No, it's not Viajet, but a different group altogether. And Seth, you may be right, I'm not sure. Lin Holdeman, the owner, has a substantial amount of Mooney experience. I didn't ask about the details of the process, but I know that they're in contact with Mooney and planning to send someone to the actual training to authorize them. I'm just not sure when.

That is GREAT news!!  So from what it sounds like, Mooney has to authroize it, and they will, which means the cash infusion is . . . working.

Just one final note. I had to go back to Vertex for a whole different issue. Again, they are probably the easiest people to work with (not just in the aviation industry, but in any industry). They put customer service and competence as top priorities and take care of your plane to the very best of their ability. I have been highly impressed with their service and would recommend them to anyone in Washington state.

Whatever happened to Galvin Flying Services located at Boeing Field? Weren't they an MSC? I know they were a Mooney dealer for years.
