  1. I put 2 sets of pistons on the MG dialing in the advance with the supercharger. As @MikeOH points out it doesn’t give much and it can very quickly take a bunch.
  2. 90F out, will be hotter than Atlanta all weekend here. Thankfully the humidity has dropped from 90+%. Wind wise I would say average for a windy day. Skywest liked it so much they did it twice for the experience. https://flightaware.com/live/flight/SKW5053/history/20240926/1945Z/KDEN/KJMS
  3. A light breeze today
  4. That what she said
  5. As others have said, I too have had issues with iPhone/ipad in direct sunlight. This is especially true if you are hard charging it or have an old battery.
  6. What I can tell you when buying cases is there is a plug for constant speed and without it is fixed (helicopter). I got the tshirt on that one….
  7. $4.98 at KCVC earlier today, I always tell folks that gas is the cheapest part of ownership.
  8. Apparently now not working in planes (sounds like it drops after 100mph). They do have a new pricing plan which is now as cheap as $50 anywhere in North America for 50GB and then $1 per GB beyond.
  9. In today’s market I don’t think you are going to find all that for $100K, probably closer to $125K. As others have suggested give a call to Jimmy Garrison. I would also encourage looking into other airframes. 5-10 knots sounds like a lot but it isn’t. You may not find a 1000 SMOH, ADSB, 2 G5’s, Garmin WAAS, autopilot etc. in a Mooney but maybe in another type. Good luck!
  10. Thankfully the economy seats are getting lighter….
  11. In other words you don’t agree with your own poll results and want to keep debating what has generally been a concise message from the forum. @201er I think nailed it. I am not certain your intent at this point.
  12. My guess is the Teflon seals HE-1517 are bad for which there is no fix @M20F-1968 is working on making some parts.
  13. When you get a plane type, heading, collision rate, and a N number that isn’t yours it isn’t a false threat. False positives come from when you are running a Stratus and relying on somebody else’s ship to send a ping so you get inbound data. If you are running a GTX345 or the like you aren’t getting false pings.
  14. I am not talking about fake targets. I get 2-3 a year where I am like where the heck are they, we are all going to die, then I see them finally passing me (no factor) when we both were danger close to each other a few moments ago. There are a few I just never see, real planes just never see them even though they are in the inner ring. 30yrs ago ignorance was bliss is all.
  15. It is the ones that I get a traffic alert on that I still can’t see ever or I see after no factor that scare me. I like the technology but ignorance was bliss.
  16. Viagra?
  17. A little short for a K Link to performance charts
  18. Wind favored 27 when everyone went up. It started to favor 9 about 6hrs ago. Everyone is still landing 27. The herd mentality is strong…..
  19. Starlink + WiFi calling = problem solved. About the only thing I need a cell signal for is texting non-iPhones which it looks like Apple is finally fixing. Otherwise my phone will work at the North Pole same as in my backyard. Costco currently has Starlink on sale for $199.99.
  20. App now shows power usage. I don’t have the mini but it is about 50% of a full size and has zero performance degradation. I am debating springing $30 for it and slapping it on the windshield of the Mooney. People are getting good results off sunroofs, windshields, etc. in cars but haven’t heard anything on aircraft performance.
  21. I would wager 99% of this forum could input direct on any flavor of GPS. I would guess maybe 50% could figure out how to turn on a KNS-80 let alone program it.
