  1. Aircraft Spruce sells it by the foot - only in black though. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/windlacedoorwelt.php?clickkey=35093
  2. I would
  3. Since the Acclaim almost ten years ago all Acclaims and Ovations have had sealant between the vertical and horizontal pieces before the tanks were put together. I haven't heard of any of them needing re-seals yet. Before that in some airplanes tanks were leaking in 5-7 years.
  4. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/pspages/ram11-13584.php?clickkey=1520519 If there was a RAM ball that screwed into the threaded hole in our airplanes this would be a simple, inexpensive solution.
  5. If you come down to TX, I'll give you a ride in an Ovation. If you like it I'll make you a good deal on it, since I own 2 Mooneys - 1 too many.
  6. Don't sell your E model short. Bill Wheat, one of the fathers of many systems on our Mooneys, told me his favorite Mooney ever was the E model.
  7. Mine aren't Fischer. I only spent $8 each including shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Indoor-Outdoor-Universal-BURGUNDY-Folding-Mug-Cup-Holder-/121110189877?hash=item1c32bad735:g:c~4AAMXQVT9S-4tE&vxp=mtr
  8. I did a search on Ebay for "Folding Cupholders". I used industrial strength velcro to attach.
  9. And the most important upgrade . . . The cup holders Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I definitely have interest for an M20M!
  11. I would look in the tank to make sure the Tidy Bowl man wasn't down there someplace.
  12. Jerry at Porter Strait in Tulsa is also a good choice. I asked them to do an "Inspect and Repair as Necessary" on the KG-102A Gyro. It needed one capacitor and the optical switch needed to be re-calibrated. It cost $320 plus shipping. If it had needed a complete overhaul it would have been $1595.
  13. They were very busy at the time that I did it, so it took about a month from the time they had the panels to when they were finished. Normally I don't think it takes that long. For me it was fine since the interior needed to be out anyway for the avionics upgrade.

  15. Thank you. If I ever think about removing and installing the interior myself again please remind me that the people that do this for a living earn every penny they make doing it. It is a lot of work.
  16. The interior is just about wrapped up Before: After:
  17. Every once in awhile things work just the way they are supposed to . . . I installed the compression fitting, tightened it just over a 1/2 turn after snugging it. I flew over to KHYI to have it filled with O2, fully expecting to at least have to tighten it more. I brought an extra compression fitting just in case. They filled it to 1750 psi and no leaks, I flew it back to my hangar and carefully assembled that panel and it is all back together. Thanks Maruader!!
  18. Just checked tracking - looks like it's at my mailbox. Since all of the oxygen was depleted I won't be able to leak check it after I install it until I re-fill O2 and no one on my field has O2. So I might be able to fly over to another field tomorrow to check. I'd like to get it wrapped up so I can finish the interior.
  19. I purchased this from a Beechtalker back in Novemberviewtopic.php?f=44&t=115902 It turns out that my HSI was fine, but what I needed was a KG102A. So I am putting it back up for sale. It tested fine in my airplane once the remote compass was exchanged. For pictures go here: http://www.beechtalk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=118972$500 shipped anywhere in the U. S. - use it for a sparelancecasper@me.com
  20. As much as I would like to blame an A & P, I twisted the line trying to reinstall it in the side panel.
  21. I already read the Swageloc documentation - just wanted some practical advice from someone who has installed 10,000 Swageloc fitiings. The documentation I read said 3/4 turn after snug, but Marauder's practical advice makes more sense - go 1/2 turn after snug, check for leaks, then if necessary tighten another 1/4 turn.
  22. Step into our financing dept . . . Seriously tho, with two airplanes at the moment, one needs to go . . .
  23. The previous owner did the install so I'm not sure what interface was used. It flies like it is on rails - very precise - love the GPSS.
