  1. You know Doug you need to call Nick and yell at him. When I picked him up at PIT before he started on his adventure to deliver the plane that is one of the specific things I told him to relay to you. It catches just about very new Mooney owner unless they have been warned about it. And the bounced landing..............good, now you've got it out of the way and it probably won't happen to you again.
  2. I did finally get my money back after two months of reminding them.
  3. Now that's funny!!!! Glad it wasn't mine (excuse me.......Doug's). That would've driven me nuts.
  4. I have seen airspeed indicators off also. I borrowed a friends Mooney a couple of weeks ago and something just seemed "not right" about it. Lower speeds seemed to make sense with the power settings and configuration but high speed was definitely wrong. See attached pictures. They were both taken at cruise flight at the same altitudes & cruise settings albeit not the same temperatures I'm sure.
  5. Nope not yet. My shop refused the pistons they sent with the cylinder assemblies so they won't be in till Monday.
  6. No I've been on the road. In Palm Springs until Sunday.
  7. Chris I can't keep up with your avitars! We have both a 796 and an iPad Mini. One or the other will take the place of the 510 that used to reside on the crossbar. You know which one I'll have there when I'm flying.
  8. I am selling a Garmin Aera 510 that came with our Baron. The only things that come with it are pictured. It was hard mounted into the aircraft power system so the cord does not have the power adapter on the end. There is no AC power cord. Although not pictured the XM antenna is included.
  9. Ouch.
  10. Absoluely stunning machine!! Congratulations!
  11. Bite your tongue!!! Hey at least I put it on here as opposed to just sending it back to Batteryminder for the $75 upgrade. Works out the same for me but now a fellow Mooney owner got basically a brand new unit for a nice discount. So,..... you see where my loyalty still lies. BTW.........Pay no attention to that ad over on Beechtalk.
  12. Hey Chris, I do but it is a 24V system. Two 12V wired in series.
  13. Hi folks, I am selling my Batteryminder that I had for the Mooney. The model # is: 12248AA-S2 12V If you are interested please PM me.
  14. Chris let me know if this is good enough. He says he'll go get more pics if you need them.
  15. I'll see if I can get Mike to snag some more pics of it for you. I'm not going to be near the airport at all today and heading out of town tomorrow. I'll get them for you though.
  16. Chris this is how ours is set up
  17. I did the same thing when I replaced the windscreen. Have to have better odds than with the .187.
  18. This is what happens when a bird hits a Mooney It ain't pretty. That guy in the video did an awesome job. Kudos to him and I hope he's okay.
  19. Kujo did you get the email with the POH? Never heard back from you.
  20. I started down that road when I had the Mooney but ended up with PALS (Patient Airlift Services). I got to do one flight last year and hope to do more this year. Very rewarding and I loved helping!! I like PALS as they reimburse for part of the fuel cost.
  21. shhhhhhh!!
  22. Kujo, Send me your email and I will send you a POH for the J
  23. Haha Actually my spouse was ready to give up her car fund we've been saving for, for about a year and a half if I didn't want to take on a partner. What a woman!!!!
  24. Thanks guys. It's a bit daunting but at least for the associated costs I'm splitting it in two. Now the fuel cost is a different story.
