  1. I have a brand new Garmin GTN 750 xi that I have for sale. Still in the unopened original box. It would have to be installed by a Garmin approved installer for the warranty. Selling because I no longer need it. Asking $17,950 US including basic ground shipping within the US and Canada Steve sdawson630@gmail.com
  2. I have some used avionics that were removed working from a BN2A Islander in 2017. I ended up with them after the charter company closed doors in 2019. There is no paperwork on these. Shipping will be from Canada. Prices in USD: Garmin GNC250XL - $1500+ shipping Garmin GMA 340 - connector on rear of tray bent - $1000 + shipping King KX-155 no glideslope - note, I used this in an aircraft I ferried in Sept 2023 and it worked flawlessly - the display is perfect. $1000 + shipping typical disclaimer - no warranties express or implied, no holds, first come first serve, etc. I’m happy to entertain offers! Blaine
  3. After loss of pitot input the IAS "red-x'd" on my dual GI 275 installation. I had the opportunity to test various failure considerations I had been thinking about to evaluate how the AHRS (attitude indicator) would perform. Would it "red-x", tumble or drift? The failures were equivalent of having lost alternator and battery and therefore shutting down the panel as well as causing the pitot tube to freeze in IMC. Would the GI 275 AI survive? Chris
  4. Hello everyone! I have a Bendix King Av8or Ace handheld gps. The unit is in mint condition and comes with a spare battery, wall charger, case, the gps unit itself, and a few other things. The mount and car charger have unfortunately been misplaced along the way but I will continue looking for them. Charts need to be updated but that's as easy as going on the website and downloading them. If you're using this as a secondary nav tool to backup your pilotage and dead reckoning, this will be a great tool. If you want to fly IFR I'd recommend updating the data and charts. As stated before everything is in MINT condition. If you have any questions I'll gladly answer them. I'll let it go for $650 obo. If you want to lowball, come with proof of a lower price elsewhere please As I do not frequent this site much anymore since I sold my plane, please email me at conom06d@g m a i l.com (obviously no spaces, just for spam protection)

  6. Next time you do an LPV to minimums, think about this: from AIN GPS Jamming and Spoofing On the Rise GPS jamming and interference events are growing exponentially as aircraft systems are becoming increasingly reliant upon them for primary navigation. During the last three years, Spirent Communications, a company that tests navigation equipment, has captured 150,000 different jamming and interference events. “Global navigation satellite system [GNSS] jamming essentially is as hard as it is to get your credit card out. You can go out and get a piece of jamming equipment rather easily. Yes, it is illegal, but if you are jamming GNSS you probably don't care,” said Jeremy Bennington, Spirent corporate solutions and technical strategy lead. He added that the risk to aviation safety is real and tangible. “Since 2013 the FAA Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing System has recorded more than 100 instances of pilot reports of GPS systems being jammed. But we know it was far more than that.” According to Bennington, the “Pokemon Go” augmented reality app released in 2016 encouraged hackers to spoof GPS to win prizes and put code online. “The spoofing they were doing was largely on cellphones, but you take that same code and software-defined radio and put that together along with position and timing data and you can make a fairly sophisticated GPS or GNSS spoofing device,” he said. “We've seen a huge increase in GNSS-related spoofing incidents in part because of Pokemon Go." 7. We are looking to add GPS to the panel of N3510N. We didn't think we'd be able to afford this upgrade to our IFR platform this soon, but the release of the GNX 375 is a perfect spatial and cost effective fit for us, given the ADS-B requirement. We will pull the KT-76A transponder and fill that spot with the GNX 375. The question becomes how to display this information on indicators. Currently, we have a KX-155 w/glideslope driving a KI-209 (pilot's-side panel), and another KX-155 (no glideslope) driving a KI-208 (pax-side panel). Note that within the year, we intend to do a panel reorg bringing the #1 and #2 indicators both to the far right side of the pilot's-side panel. As we see it there are two options: 1) Leave Nav#2 (KX-155 no glideslope) and the KI-208 alone. Replace the KI-209 with a KI-209A and a remote switch, displaying both the GPS and Nav#1 (KX-155 w/glidslope) on the KI-209A. 2) Get rid of the KI-208 (or pull but save for later pax-side panel reorg) leaving no indication for the 2nd KX-155. Leave the Nav#1 (KX-155 w/glideslope) driving the KI-209 as is. Buy a new indicator (KI-209A or GI-106B) to display the GPS (GNX 375). So questions are: 1) On option 2, is there a reason to pick the KI-209A vs GI-106B? 2) Option 1 vs. Option 2: Unique indicators for GPS and Nav#1, vs driving a single switched indicator. 3) Any issues with driving our Brittain AccuTrak II with either of these setups 4) Anything else we are missing here (...besides a 10" G3X Touch)?
  8. Greetings, I was trying to update my Apollo GX 50 GPS using Jeppsesen Data Manager. The system uses a card similar to a pcmcia. I was using a dongle that converted the card to usb 2.0. However every time I tried the JDM it would not recognize it. Windows was asking to format the card but was unable to complete formatting in any file format. Windows also read the 2mb card as 64mb. Jeppsesen no longer supports the Apollo and the call center wasn't too helpful. Anyone still running an apollo have any advice Or maybe have a dongle they're willing to sell for me to try out? Cheers! Marek

  10. Recently upgraded my 430W. Will sell my Garmin Aera 796 for first offer over $1275. Comes with GPS and XM Antennas, AC charging mount, aircraft mount, Manuals, and everything I received when I bought it new. The carry case has a worn spot in one corner which has no bearing on the operation of the unit which is fully functional. The XM weather feature requires a subscription to Sirius. Email any questions. No phone calls, please.
  11. I've some oldies but goodies that I'm needing out of my closet, so I'm listing them here as well as on Ebay. I know almost everyone uses iPads now, but I'm sure there is still a AnyWhere Map Fan or two lurking around. I'll end the bids on EBay there if someone here makes me a reasonable offer. The Baron Mobile and XM will work with ForeFlight from what I've read as well. Message me directly if you're interested. Will break up, but would prefer to sell as a package.

  13. Good afternoon Mooneyspacers. My 20J is fresh back from the install of a Stratus ESG Transponder with the hardwired Stratus 2i to accompany (I will post a write-up on my experience with the shop later). With that, my trusty Stratus 2 is no longer needed and is up for sale. It comes with the Stratus 2, charger and Ram window mount. Price is $550.00, shipping to lower 48 included. (For the life of me, I can't figure out why these pictures are sideways. You get the drift though.)
  14. I have a KLN 89B for sale with a current database (expires 12/7/16). Removed in working condition this week. Asking $800.
  15. Selling GNC 250XL pulled from my 20E during panel upgrade. Worked great for the short time I used it. $1500.00 Comes with antenna tray and cable
  16. Starting to sell off stuff from my recent panel install. First to go is a package of the following: GPS: Garmin GNC300XL IFR Approach GPS/ Comm with tray. Annunciation control unit for above: Garmin MD41-444. CDI with GPS input: Collins IND350A GPS/VOR/LOC. GPS antenna. I can throw in the comm antenna too if you want it. No connectors or cables included. A serviceable tagged GNC300XL alone can run >$3000. All this stuff was installed in my plane in 2009, well before my purchase of it last year, and was working when removed a couple of months ago. But none is yellow-tagged. So I think $1500 for the whole package is reasonable.
  17. Avidyne has received STC approval for the MK10 Bluetooth® keyboard. The MK10 Bluetooth Keyboard allows pilots to wirelessly control their panel-mounted IFD440 or IFD540 system. Activation of Bluetooth functionality requires IFD440/IFD540 software Release 10.1.1. Initially, the MK10 will allow remote entry of waypoints and flightplans, plus map range changing, and alpha-numeric data entry. An upcoming release (R10.2) will fully enable all MK10 functions including page and tab selection, Direct TO, and others.” The MK10 will have a retail value of $299. For a limitied time, all customers who register or who have registered on www.MyAvidyne.com will receive the MK10 at no cost. 18. Avidyne is happy to announce the approval of Release 10.1.1 software for the IFD540 & IFD440. Release 10.1.1 adds a number of performance improvements and product enhancements to the IFD540 and IFD440, including activation of the integrated Bluetooth® and WiFi capabilities. Release 10.1.1 (R10.1.1) software is a field-loadable upgrade for the IFD540 and IFD440 that enables Bluetooth and WiFi functionality and also includes a number of product improvements and enhancements. Avidyne previously announced a Software Developer Kit (SDK) that allows 3rd-party software developers to create applications for smartphones and portable tablet devices using the wireless data streams coming out of the IFD540 and IFD440. With throughput rates of up to 3 Mbps, Bluetooth provides terrific point-to-point connectivity for specific devices and App-based tasks, while WiFi provides a higher-bandwidth connection of up to 65 Mbps for more robust purposes including laptops and browser-based connectivity.

I'm sure most of you are familiar with most of the features of this watch. $450 new. Selling for $250. Thanks, Joshua
  20. Used Garmin 796 in excellent condition. Includes standard cradle and bare wire cradle for hardwiring to aircraft power and/or avionics. Up for auction on eBay, ending Sat 12/5 at 1700 PST. eBay: Garmin aera 796 Thanks, Fetus
  21. New GTN 750 in my M20M Bravo. Anyone interested in acting as safety pilot with knowledge of the GTN that would like to do some approaches, fly out for breakfast or lunch somewhere, please get in touch. Thanks!
  22. I have a Lowrance Airmap 300 with a yoke mount and other accessories I want to get rid of. I works fine but from what I understand updates are no longer available. In lieu of just pitching it I am offering this free to anyone who might have a use for it. It would work well as a basic VFR gps, just don't rely on info such as radio frequencies, etc. Let me know if anyone is interested and I'll send it out UPS today.
  23. Have any of you actually installed a BK KNS 770 in your Mooney?
  24. So, we have the KLN94b in our plane and need to update the datacard. It was done by another partner, but he no longer has is old PC to do it. Im using a Dell laptop with Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and using the USB port. I have the right Immagemate card reader as well. For some reason, the Honeywell gpsloader cant seem to see the datacard. It does take a good 20 minutes before Windows see the E: drive and shows the imagemate Sandisk drive but thats as far as I get. I've even rebooted with the cardreader plugged into the USB port, but No Joy! Even tried letting it sit for an hour....still nothing! I have a call out to Honeywell (Wingman Services) today, but I figured I'd ask the group here. Thanks Vic
