  1. It is a Rocket. It was a poorly worded sentence now corrected.
  2. If only the Acclaim was pressurized...
  3. I’m looking for a 50/50 partner in a Lancair IV-P. The airplane is currently at CFO but I have a port-a-port at BJC. It was completed in 2017 and has just under 400 hours on it. Twin-turbo TSIO-550. I flew the airplane with the owner and it is the fastest single engine airplane I have ever flown. We were doing 270 KTAS at 17,500 burning ~ 16 gph. $120K to buy half and then it will be 10K-12K for training and insurance. Contact me at 720-839-7652 call or text, email - denver98@icloud.com if you’re interested. I would think you’ll need a CP or an IR and several hundred hours for insurance. Avionics: G3X with 3 screens, Garmin audio panel,Garmin 650, Garmin GX autopilot, Garmin transponder. AOA

  5. I can’t wait to get back in 2AD. I could put her to good use next week. It will be interesting to see how much longer the belly stays clean.
  6. I don’t think you’re behind. Today was the official release of the DA50RG. (I think). With that UL, speed and economy it could have a real impact on the market. Looking forward to the TBD price.
  7. I update the original post to show the asking price of $125,500.
  8. I do this too. Plus, the gear is the best drag device on the airplane.
  9. We did a PilotsNPaws flight yesterday. 1 dog, 2 adult mom cats and 10 kittens.
  10. Not my listing but if you're interested I can find out of the headrest is missing or just not pictured because its stored in the owners hangar.

  12. Ok. I might be able to help you out late next week. I'll email you.
  13. @Wordboom What is your time frame for this ferry flight?
  14. Kalitta Air can hold short and burn gas. They are well know for being the worst of the worst air cargo, perhaps worst of all 121/131 jet airlines, on the planet. Looks like they had a good time flying into MCO.
  15. I wore my Halo headset today. I love them! There is another added benefit that hasn’t been mentioned yet but here in Colorado “smooth” is light turbulence, it a factor. When you get a strong jolt of turbulence had your head hits the ceiling there’s nothing to jam into your head or the ceiling. I discovered this today, BTW. The tall mountain that’s less white is Long’s Peak.
  16. My thinking is 3-5 years, it will depend on use and maintenance. Adam’s polishes makes a ceramic boost. They recommend using it 48 hours after the ceramic coating is applied and after a wash. I’ve been doing my best to keep the belly and gear doors clean by using their waterless wash and then the ceramic boost. Right now if you go to adamspolishes.com and use code FRIEND15 or APRIL15 that should get you a 15% discount on most products. I would recommend calling them to try and get a better deal. Especially if you’re going to be buying microfiber towels and polishing pads. I worked with Charlie at their Thornton, CO store. You’ll need enough product to cover at least 3 full-size cars.
  17. I used Adam’s polishes ceramic coating, not the spray. It’s more expensive but should last MUCH longer. We had our SUV polished and ceramic coated (not sprayed) 2 years ago and it washes as if it was just applied. The sprays are more affordable, you just have to apply them more often.
  18. I don’t know anything about the airplane other than what was in the listing. Here are my thoughts: I would research the hell out of the Smoky Mountain Aeroplanes. They obviously saw an opportunity to make money by flipping a geared up airplane. That’s not a bad thing at all. However, did they skimp on the required maintenance work to maximize their profit? Or, did they do it right after getting the airplane at salvage cost, adding a modest margin to keep the airplane flying? Or is it somewhere in between? What’s their story with the airplane? Then, I’d try to talk to the pilot that landed the plane gear up. Get that story, was the engine truly stopped? Talking to the previous owner would really answer your question. Finally, I wouldn’t buy it sight unseen. But, if it’s priced so attractively that an engine replacement in 200 hours or less is acceptable cost then it might be worth it. Extensive homework is going to be needed, regardless. -Scott This is just an opinion piece, not an expert buyer.
  19. I recommend Adam’s Polishes. Their products are great and they almost always have a special or BOGO sale going on. I’d did all of N252AD with their products and it turned out great.
  20. Actually any other year it would be great. Today would be a let’s grab the skies and go up the hill for a powder day. Oh well, always next year.
  21. The local weather has also aided in keeping us on the ground. Not sure where this picture was taken, I pulled it from a news story. BUT, it is a LOT of snow. Boulder, just a little further west from KBJC got nearly a foot of snow overnight! Thankfully it is April and the snow will most likely be gone by Saturday.
  22. One Mooney polish is enough! The best ways to attempt to remove those stains, start with a clay bar, that should remove most of the surface staining. To get the deeper staining, use a good step 1 compound with an aggressive pad on a random orbit polisher. Once you’ve chased that rabbit down the rabbit hole, in only 60 more hours your airplane’s paint will look GREAT! I recommend Adam’s polishes waterless wash, medium clay bar, and compound with Adam’s one step pad. If you want to go all the way, use their polish and ceramic coating. Their Micofiber detailing and polishing towels are the best I’ve ever used. They run specials and discounts from time to time. If you call them they should give you a good discount. I’ve yet to pay full price for a product, but I have spent a LOT on their products. If you need more help, I recommend calling their Thornton, Colorado store and ask for Charlie. He’s helped me for the last couple of months. Pretty sure I’m know as the “guy polishing an airplane”. Wouldn’t be surprised if they use the word crazy in there as well. Best of luck.
  23. Some pictures of the Rockies from our Pilots N Paws trip from BJC to DRO and back. The first picture is of Pike’s Peak. The rest are of the Sangre de Cristo Range. Some of the 14ers in this range include Crestone Needle, Crestone Peak and Humboldt Peak further south south is Sand Dunes National Park.
  24. We did! Two legs and two dogs. This is Chester, he was rescued from an Indian reservation and is headed to a rescue here near Denver. Chester had been very badly mistreated, it was just so sad but the woman from the rescue here is Denver was just awesome. Hopefully, Chester’s days will get much better, soon. The flights are both rewarding and heartbreaking at the same time. We’ve now brought 7 dogs to the Denver area and 2 have been very badly mistreated. Nothing is better than a loving dog, we do these flights with the hope that these dogs find the life they all deserve. During these very uncertain times, there is no better way to social distance from Humans than to use your airplane to rescue at dog. Or, like @gsxrpilot, sign up to fly supplies. Remember, the say at home orders don’t apply to these flights.
