  1. This one is (I checked with the MSC). I’m not sure whether or not there are restrictions e.g. for the very early ones. It’s a Mooney factory mod, not a STC.
  2. 820lbs Nice thing with the 252 is that you can get an extra 230lbs of UL with the Encore conversion.
  3. @tmo I looked into that too and actually got a quote from CAV for TKS or FIKI but as mentioned, over there I know I will have much less time to fly so I'm thinking joining a partnership or a club could be smarter than bringing the Mooney over.
  4. @Airways Mostly UK to SW France.
  5. @carusoam I'm considering that but over there, I know I will have much less time to fly (and would rather have a FIKI bird).
  6. Here are a few. The panel ones aren't great, I'll try to take better ones next time I'm at the airport (the Alt-preselect is in the central console).
  7. Here are some more details. This 252 has a lot of nice upgrades as it used to be the personal plane of a MSC owner. 8. Correct and I love it.
  9. It's an amazing flying machine and a great relief during these Covid times but we are likely to head back to Europe at some point this year and I'm not sure the 252 will fit my mission profile over there so I'm thinking about selling over the next few months.
  10. If you have a backup vacuum system installed, you could try to extend the brakes at idle with the backup pump on to see if that changes anything. I check mine just before starting the run up so c. 1000rpm.
  11. @Airways What prices are you looking at for these? I'm often in Europe and could be interested by some of these.
  12. That's what I thought. Thank you!
  13. The display on my KX165 is not looking great and I managed to get a replacement one which I would like to try. My radio is a 28V and the display I got comes from a 14V unit. I believe the voltage for the display is the same but would feel better if an MSer could confirm before I give it a try. Thank you!
  14. I looked into this for my 252 and got quoted c. $55k for TKS and $65k for FIKI kit + install.
  15. PAR 46 is for the J (before they moved the lights to the wings). It's a single light in the cowling vs 2 PAR 36 for our Ks
  16. What level do you keep your oil at? I burn more than that and the engine seems to "spit out" whatever oil is about the 5qts mark on the dip stick (TSIO360-MB).
  17. There is a winterization kit for the K which is a metal plate going on top of the oil cooler but the parts manual mentions "25-1000 THRU 25-TBA" which I don't think covers the 231.
  18. +1. Not sure how easy it would be to use the carbon one for the Encore that was mentioned here a few weeks ago.
  19. I remember Don Maxwell posting a couple of pictures of a J panel redone with new style switches. It might be worth checking with him.
  20. How is your oil temp looking with oil pressure at that level?
  21. GTX 33 remote XPDR. Installed in the avionics bay and controlled with your Garmin GTN 650/750 or GNS 480. Nice way to make more room in your panel and reduce nose weight. Works with an existing ADS-B installation e.g. tailbeacon or GDL 82 but could also be upgraded to ES by Garmin to provide ADS-B out. Removed this transponder during an upgrade. $250 OBO
  22. You can also find pdfs of most AFMS on the Mooney website
