    Check the notams check the notams check the notams. Bottom line is he didn't. Nothing falls back on ATC. Who knows they could have been super busy at the moment and missed it. They're human too. Regardless he went in uncontrolled on top of that canceled ifr. Pour airplane. Glad everyone is okay though. The price of the plane isn't anywhere near the cost of the lives. I'm assuming they will be very thankful this Christmas! Mike

    I believe if you can remove it you're good. But have a mechanic wire anything. MH Aviation is a good shop at Fox. I assume you're based there being in Lancaster. I was based there (and grew up there) as of last month. Now I'm based in corona Mike

    I've got a big T-hangar on the west end of the field with corona executive hangars and its $400 with lights and power. tie Downs with them use to be $60 they may have gone up. I'm new to this field but so far I like it. I've also only flown in for spruce. How did your paint come out? I'd love to see your plane whenever you fly into AJO MIKE

    this is not true. My IA put an air gizmos mount on my co-pilot side for an iPad mini and he logged it and provided me with the paperwork from the FAA to prove its legality. I'll see if I can dig it up and post it. I've heard some old school examiners... (No offense to anyone) will try and give you a hard time about the mounting of iPads. Mike

    close but not exactly what I'm looking for. The picture I posted is not my panel. I guess I should of specify that in my post. I think davtron use to make a clock specifically for our vintage mooney yoke that eliminates the thin aluminum bezel that goes over the round anolog clock. Mike

    thanks marauder. The picture I posted is not my panel. I just like that clock because it fits the yoke without using the thin plate that is used with the anolog clock with the sweeping hands. Mike
