A few of us in the Wichita area are planning a fly-out lunch to KPNC on Saturday, 5/18/13.  Anyone else interested in joining up?  Planning for a noon-ish arrival.

I may be in if the plane is done with the annual. By the way, I saw a Mooney take off from AAO heading south and then turn to the West on Wednesday, was that you?

Is there a restaurant on the field there? I may be interested, if the wx is nice

Yes, Enrique's is a very good Mexican restaurant that has been there for quite a while.  Folks from town eat there regularly as well, so it is not just an airport novelty.

I wish I could join you!  I'm spending all my flying time finishing up my instrument rating.  5 flights scheduled in the next 7 days.

Make it an instrument cross country!   :)   Good luck with the finish-up in any case...

Did my IFR long cross country today.  First two approaches went well... last one into ADS was a complete bust- partial panel ILS and I messed up royally being vectored to the localizer.  The bumps didn't help at all.  I'm getting close, but an approach like that really zaps anything resemlbling confidence.

back ttt, we're still planning to try this, but we might have low-ish clouds in the Wichita area in the morning and departure could slide a bit.  If anyone wants to meet up, PM me for contact info!
