bnicolette Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 A short clip of my wife and I flying from Teterboro, NJ to Latrobe, PA after a couple nights in NYC. She is comfortably nestled in the back sleeping soundly. Love our Mooney!! 1 Quote
Marauder Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 Nice video! What was your TAS? it looked like you were screaming along. When you do your next video, could you do a longer segment on the JPI. Really never seen one in action. Thanks for sharing! Quote
John Pleisse Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 Looks like a nice smooth flight Brett. Lot of snow up there!! Quote
Oscar Avalle Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 Interesting that your wife prefers to fly in the back... Quote

bnicolette Posted January 8, 2013 Author Report Posted January 8, 2013 Interesting that your wife prefers to fly in the back... It depends. But no matter where she is sitting when in the little airplane................she is sleeping. If on the corporate airplane.......she is drinking. Quote
jetdriven Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 Thats 169 KTAS by my calculation. Either you have one fast J or your alt static is open. You are really moving along! At that ROP power setting, out plane will only do 157-159 KTAS. Quote

The temp setting on the TAS correction window was off by two degrees. But I figure it was around 164 kts. My percentage power also needs tweaked on the JPI a little bit. It is not correct. It was right at standard temp so I figure it was close to 75% power? Quote
PMcClure Posted February 5, 2013 Report Posted February 5, 2013 Nice flight! My wife falls asleep every flight. As soon as we are above 5000' she is out. I had her try oxygen once and she stayed awake. But she didn't like the fuss so won't try it again. Quote
