tls pilot Posted September 11 Report Posted September 11 (edited) The original RPM gauge stopped working after landing. Does anyone know the area where this connects to the engine? Also has anyone used a portable tachmeter inside the plane and if so which one? Spruce sells one for $300.00 Thanks Edited September 11 by tls pilot
N201MKTurbo Posted September 11 Report Posted September 11 I think this tach has a tach generator. I would check the connectors and wiring. The generator will be mounted on the back of the engine.
Fritz1 Posted September 12 Report Posted September 12 On the bravo engine tach pickup is mounted to bottom of the right mag if memory serves, maybe broke off or loose, there is a panel mounted certified RPM gauge that has LEDs, have seen that in Bravos as a patch after the Moritz gauge died and also in Eagles that have the 310hp 2700 RPM STC
