Vermonter Posted August 3 Report Posted August 3 Looking to see if anyone knows where to possibly buy a dual brake kit for my Mooney M20C, part number 950239-501. I'm going to be flying with friends and family and would like the ability to have a true dual system so they can experience everything from take off to landing while also having control of everything as well.
Hank Posted August 3 Report Posted August 3 I enjoy giving rides in my C, but would not let a non-pilot or even a non-current pilot make the landing. Not even in a trainer, unless a CFI is beside them (which I am not). It is fun to let pax fly the plane, though!
Aerodon Posted August 3 Report Posted August 3 So on a later model M20K without dual brakes: 1) the attachments for the brake master cylinders are in place. 2) change the pedals and arms with a set that has brake pedals 3) install the crossover pipes and T into the existing system 4) bleed the brakes 5) sign the logbook. Some other models - there is a check valve between the LHS and RHS, i am not familiar. M20C, not so sure either. Aerodon 1

Apparently in some of the older forums there are some diagrams kicking around, trying to get my hands on them too. Edited August 3 by Vermonter Didn't select message when replying
