Rmnpilot Posted November 12 Report Posted November 12 I recently updated my audio panel and with the update, my kfc-150 aural alert is significantly louder than before. From what I can see on the internet, there is an adustment screw for volume, but I don’t know where the box physically is in the bravo. Has anyone messed with this? I would rather not pull the glareshield if I dont have to but I am guessing it’s behind that. Thoughts? Quote

Hopefully they left the unit exposing that hole where the screw adjustment is, so you don't have to practically remove the unit to make the adjustment. 1 Quote

flyboy0681 Posted November 25 Report Posted November 25 What alert is the KFC-150 capable of other than the self-test beeps? Quote
Rmnpilot Posted November 25 Author Report Posted November 25 It’s the self test beeps and the solid tone when you disable the autopilot, however there is a volume adjustment that can be changed. I have been too busy with work travels to mess with it. Quote

The KAA-15 generates the signal sent to the sonalert. There's a potentiometer on the KAA-15 that determines the strength of the signal sent, and raises or lowers the volume accordingly. Quote
FoxMike Posted Thursday at 03:15 AM Report Posted Thursday at 03:15 AM The KAA-15 in my airplane is located in the tail behind the baggage area. Quote
