Mitch and I have been back to the factory a few times in the past months to shoot a video legacy project. I thought it might be fun to see if you can identify some items from the Mooney factory.  Here is the first submission.

Jolie,

I am looking forward to your new project.  I have never seen the inside of an airplane manufacturing facility.

Preserving how Mooneys were manufactured sounds beneficial to the whole line of Mooney aircraft.

My guess: Looks to me like a steal buck for forming sheet aluminum into a door part.

How did I do?

Best regards,

José beat me to it!

My guess is the jig they use to glue the fabric/leather to the interior door panel. Fun post. Keep the photos/questions coming.

I thought the correct term is a fixture. My understanding is that a jig is something that you use to guide a tool where a fixture is something you use to hold a work material in place.

Well I never said I knew! HA

What is super fun is that the factory workers from Mooney are getting involved and having some fun.  That makes me feel happy too.

Problem is there are two correct answers. One that is technically true and the other is the commonly used term.
