Modify201 Posted March 9, 2024 Report Posted March 9, 2024 Hello Mooneyspace, I am having to remove the interior of my ‘68 M20C and am having trouble remembering how to remove the two front pilot seats. Anyone know how? Thanks
Echo Posted March 9, 2024 Report Posted March 9, 2024 I just did a thread on this. Take out pins at front and back of rails. Roll forward hard and lift off rails. Keep seats low and straight sliding back and lift up out of rail Reverse to install and insert pins. 2
Z W Posted March 10, 2024 Report Posted March 10, 2024 Also, if you buckle the seatbelts and tighten them up all the way, they make a nice handle for lifting the seats in and out of the plane. And it keeps them from flopping around and banging on the wing as you carry the seats in and out. 2

cliffy Posted March 10, 2024 Report Posted March 10, 2024 You didn't say which model Mooney you have but on some short bodies the flap position indicator on the nose wheel bay may need to be unscrewed and moved sideways out of the way also in order to get the seat to move far enough forward to unhook the front end.
