M20F-1968 Posted December 2, 2023 Report Posted December 2, 2023 I recently downloaded data for my G600, GTN 750 and GTN 650. The downloads were not recognized my the units when I installed them in the plane. I want to try to reformat the cards and do a clean download of all the files for each unit. I am using a MACBook Pro. What is the type of format I should use to reformat the cards? John Breda Quote
PeteMc Posted December 2, 2023 Report Posted December 2, 2023 (edited) I know there were some issues a while ago with the Garmin Aviation Manager running on Mac iOS. I believe the issues were all resolved, but maybe it would be worth it to get the latest Aviation Manager and uninstall what you have and reinstall the fresh download. Also... Did you do Individual Update SD Cards or Sync Updates? If you did individual SD Cards maybe they got mixed up and the wrong one went in the wrong device. With the Sync Update all the S/N are there so it will update any of your devices. (Actually don't know about the G600, but I'm guessing Sync will not show up as an option if it won't work.) Marc_B Posted December 2, 2023 Report Posted December 2, 2023 With the previous update (not the most recent) I had FliteCharts hang up and gave me an error. Garmin support had me clear previous downloads, delete the corrupted folder from SD card then redownload. Just open Garmin Aviation Database Manager, go to preferences and "Clear downloads". Sometimes clearing and redownloading has helped fix corrupted download. Not sure what the Mac side looks like though...I'm windows. Quote
