I was flying IFR at 10K today near KHKY when ATL center called traffic crossing right to left in front of me a 9,500. I lit up the airplane with all the lights and sure enough a Bonanza crossed in front of me about 2 miles ahead. He said, "Those lights on the Mooney are really bright". I said, "Thanks I just installed them." He says, "Money well spent, those really work!"

@GeeBee I was thinking so...wasn't it you who had the Max Pulse mounted just behind your upper switches?  I should have preemptively installed a pulsing system when I updated my panel, but...  Although that might be a great location for the switch anyways.

Yes it was and it is still there.

It seems that Whelan has a low cost pulser, but only for 14 volt at this time.  Very little info, even the installation info doesnt say much.

I have asked James Gallagher for more info and if they will do a 24 votl version

Was flying a CAP 182.   Plane waiting to take off called to tell us our lights were pulsing.

I told they are supposed, to make the plane more visible.  He said, "It works."

I tested my new pulsing LED recognition lights by aiming at the control tower 5 miles out and asking if they could see them. They could.

I generally fly with the LED recognition lights, landing lights, and taxi lights on all the time. The strobes are on, too. If I had a logo light, I'd light that up. :)
