I installed these with the Garmin EIS and I’m just wondering what accuracy I should expect.

When it says you have 10 gal remaining in a 32 gallon tank, what should actual fill be, 22gal +/- right?  The question is, what is the “+/-?”  I’ve got the fuel totalizer to within 0.1% after >1000 gallons, but 1 gallon per side vs actual throughout the range would be great!

I spent extra $$ and the CiES are not as good as the sight gauges in the wings (or maybe not as good as my old analog gauges.) I’m guessing there’s an issues with calibration.

Can cal numbers be compared/shared among models, e.g. J’s of similar vintages? Where is the cal stored?

Does the GI275 have the ground and flight calibration option as well? It would be real nice to have the accuracy for both. I think the old panel gauges were only valid in the flight attitude, thus the wing sight gauges for partial refueling.

I have them in my J. Been riddled with issues. Finally, have them working pretty well.

I've noticed that they seem really accurate after burning off a couple of gallons on each side. I suspect that you can fill each tank past its "full" value and the float won't move anymore, like the above states.

I only have the in-flight curve. For my J, the ground total is usually n-2.

In my plane the fuel senders top out at 23 gallons, so until I burn down past that level my fuel gauge reads full.

Also they read high when the nose is up and low when the nose is down, so level flight is required for an accurate reading. Overall I am happy with them, especially compared to the stock gauges that never worked.

i have them connected to my G3X. they are complicated to install properly. first, they had to be adjusted so they don’t rub on the sides of the tanks. and they were not calibrated properly the first time around. another installation issue was that they need to be connected to ships ground, not “garmin” ground.  so far my experience is that they are not plug + play.

Mine seem very accurate in my M20J. They were calibrated every 5 gallons with the airplane leveled. We didn't bother doing the ground calibration.
