Hello Mooney People,

My G1000 PFD seems to want to stay dim. I am able to brighten it up using the menu but the next time I come back to use it, it is dim again.

Is there a secret that I am missing in order  to keep the screen bright?  The MFD stays bright.

Thanks

Alan

Ensure that the panel dimmer is off. Input from the dimmer over rides the photocell. The photocell is the primary brightness control. There is a test, while in configuration mode, to see the photocell response to light. And to the dimmer circuit. You can also use a flashlight to see if the photocell is controlling the display.

Sorry for the stupid question but what is the 'panel dimmer'?

Brightens or Dims the screen in high or low light conditions
