Best UV paint protection

I use a carnauba wax twice a year to protect my paint but realistically that only last about 2 months in the sun. I’ve read about new spray UV coatings that are supposed to last 6–12 month. Some are “ceramic”. Has anyone here tied these? Recommendations?

Fair amount of discussion in various threads.  My takeaways - carnuba doesn't last long.  Sealant product better. Consumer grade ceramics even better and seem to work pretty well.  Best if you do paint prep first - polishing compound to remove defects, clay bar, alcohol wipe down to prepare surface. Do a section at a time, don't let the ceramic dry on the surface.  Not too difficult.  Lots of folks seem to like the GTech product.  I've tried it and it seems to be fine, but I also like the products from Plane Perfect a lot.  Just did a Budha Belly wipe of the lower half to get the lead and oil off.  Great stuff.  Then Wing Wipe to clean and seal, followed by a ceramic coat.  Does appear to repeal dirt and makes it easier to clean.  Professional ceramic the best.  Some good Youtube videos of work on a Mooney  But around $3K.

You can ceramic coat which I recommend going the pro route on. Jescar Powerlock will last about a year and you can self apply.  I use it on the Mooney and the MG.  I am a former Collonite devotee. 
 
If the plane is hangered I wouldn’t worry too much either way.  If it is outside you can afford to repaint @ every 5 years.

Best UV protection is a hangar.  

Good for paint and plexiglass.

Also effective against wind, hail and vandals.
