Mac80 Posted October 28, 2021 Report Posted October 28, 2021 Just watched a presentation on ForeFlight and one of original developers mentioned useful feature of using terrain at higher elevations. I having been wanting to add moving map with showing terrain or synthetic vision. Supposed to be able to add terrain with Lynx 9000 installed but it was not an added feature installed as yet. The only IPad view I see that would have terrain is one that shows attitude indicator and DG in color. Am I missing out on ForeFlight feature. Mostly flying in Midwest but I still would like to see terrain while using moving map on approaches and near airports especially during low visibility. Also interested if other use the attitude feature. If fly with 6 pack type gages and KLN 94 is only map.

PeteMc Posted October 28, 2021 Report Posted October 28, 2021 If you were just watching the webinar I was watching, he was talking about the Profile View. There are a number of videos on Profile View if that is indeed what you're asking about. It came up as a blank page in the webinar. Guessing you need a Pro or Professional subscription. In the Profile View you can see Terrain, Airspace, Clouds, etc. Lots of options and you'll find a full list in the manual. (Remember that Wx info is always delayed.) Here's one video, but there are a lot of others: https://foreflight.com/support/video-library/watch/?v=route-line-in-profile-view
